Our Positive Impact

We have planted thousands of pet memorial trees, supporting reforestation work in 14 countries across 4 continents with many ongoing local projects including the ones featured below.

Australia

Bushfire Recovery

Our pet memorial trees planted in Australia help recover areas where dramatic bushfires have burnt forests and vegetation during the summer season in 2019 - 20.

The tree-planting projects include bushfire recovery nurseries, creating habitat corridors for koalas in New South Wales and Victoria, enhancing biodiversity in Western Australia, and promoting sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices with landowners. Efforts are focused on mobilising support for replanting efforts, developing nurseries and planting millions of trees.

Ethiopia

Community Forest Restoration

We help restore 8,800 hectares of the degraded Gewocha Forest – one of the area’s most important remaining native forest remnants – in Amhara, Ethiopia.

Community participation in this restoration project is incredible, with over 500 people taking part planting up to 20,000 seedlings a day, from 14 species.

By implementing forest restoration initiatives, securing communal ownership of the community forest and establishing agroforestry practices, we can safeguard the forest while putting an end to unsustainable agricultural practices.

As a result, the local communities experience improved food security, enhanced nutrition and stable incomes, ensuring a brighter and sustainable future for all those who call this place home.

USA

Rewilding the Appalachians

We support big ambitions of replanting up and down the Appalachian Trail. Supporting this project will return formerly unproductive mining, logging, and agricultural land to balance. The planted trees will also benefit nearby communities as hydrological function will be improved, providing them with better quality water. Further this project creates meaningful jobs in communities suffering high rates of poverty and unemployment.

As one of the most biologically diverse regions of North America, planting trees will help preserve the unique biodiversity of Appalachia. Salamanders, songbirds, and copperhead snakes are just a few of animals we will help.

Brazil

Conserving the Amazon

As the largest tropical forest globally, the Brazilian Amazon Forest plays a crucial role as a primary carbon sink, contributing significantly to our fight against climate change. Beyond its environmental impact, it serves as a vital refuge for approximately 10% of the world’s biodiversity and provides sustenance and shelter for numerous traditional communities.

We support sustainable forest management practices, including reforestation in Fazenda Manoa, situated in Rondônia in southern Brazil. The main objective of the project is to mitigate climate change, reduce GHG emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation, promoting social well-being and conserving local biodiversity.
